Hardmoors Ultramarathons

The Hardmoors 15 is a 15 miles-ish loop, including Robin Hoods Bay and Ravenscar.

The Hardmoors 30 is a 30 miles-ish loop around Robin Hoods Bay, Ravenscar, and Cloughton.

The Hardwolds 40 is actually approximately 47 miles and the route follows the Hudson Way from Beverley to pick up the  Wolds Way just outside of Goodmanham.  The route continues to follow the Wolds Way passing through chalk landscapes, Market Towns & ancient  villages such as Londesborough, Millington,  Thixendale & the deserted medieval village of Wharram Percy, all before leaving the Wolds Way near Settrington Beacon & descending into Settrington to pick up the Centenary Way to Malton & the race finish. The race starts at 8am and competitors will have 20 hours to complete the distance.

The Hardmoors 55 is a 55 mile Ultramarathon running from Guisborough to Helmsley. The 55 mile race will take competitors through the North York Moors and the Cleveland Hills in quite possibly winter conditions. Do not underestimate this race!! This race is unsupported with 2 indoor checkpoints for refreshements and drop bags. The race contains over 2000 metres of ascent and has a time limit of 16 hours.

The Hardmoors 60 is a 60 miles race on the coast from Guisborough to Filey. The route of the 60 mile race follows half of the Hardmoors 110, along the beautiful Cleveland Coast, through Saltburn, Runswick Bay, Staithes, Whitby, Robin Hoods Bay, Ravenscar, Scarborough and into the finish location, the seaside resort of Filey. Competitors will have 18 hours to complete the course.

The Hardwolds 80 route follows the Wolds Way from Hessle to Filey passing through chalk landscapes with dry valleys and stunning wildlife alongside market Towns and ancient  villages such as Brantingham, Londesborough, Thixendale and the deserted medieval village of Wharram Percy, before arriving at the seaside resort of Filey.

The Hardmoors 110 Ultramarathon follows the dramatic Cleveland Way National Trail encircling the North York Moors and the Cleveland Heritage coastline.
Commencing in Filey and finishing in the North Yorkshire market town of Helmsley. Competitors will have a time limit of 36 hours to complete the 110 mile single stage trail race, starting at Filey Brigg and passing through the seaside resort of Scarborough; Ravenscar; the old smuggling village of Robin Hood’s Bay; Dracula’s Whitby; Runswick Bay; Staithes and Saltburn, before turning inland to go across the North York Moors and the beautiful Cleveland Hills to finish in the lovely market town of Helmsley.

The Hardmoors 160 ‘The Ring Of Steele’ Ultramarathon will start at Sutton Bank and head east across the moors on the Tabular Hills Route to Scarborough to pick up  the Hardmoors 110 route and follow the full 100 miles of the route to the race finish at Helmsley. The Hardmoors 160 as the name suggests will be a 160 mile single stage Ultra with over 7000 metres of ascent. Competitors will have 50hrs to complete the race.

The Hardmoors 200 : the ultimate challenge! This starts in Hull and finishes in Helmsley, following the Wolds Way and Cleveland Way.

The Hardmoors 26.2 is a Trail Marathon Series set in the beautiful North York Moors and the Cleveland Hills. Competitors will have the option of entering either the full Trail Marathon (26.2mi) The Trail Half-Marathon (13.2mi) or the Trail 10k (6.2mi). There are 6 Trail Marathons/Half-Marathons/10k’s in the Race Series throughout the year.
