Goathland Trail Marathon – 27.5 miles -4800 feet of ascent

Compulsory Kit

Because this is a winter event in quite possibly hostile conditions compulsory items must be carried or worn for your own safety

  • Waterproof Jacket with taped seams
  • Hat
  • Gloves
  • Whistle
  • 500ml of water/sports drink to be carried
  • Map/route description
  • Head torch or torch (full runners only)

FAILURE TO CARRY YOUR OWN MANDATORY KIT FOR THE FULL DURATION OF THE EVENT WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION

Time limits

9 hours to complete the Trail Marathon.
5 hours to complete the Half Marathon.
3 hours to complete the 10k

All Hardmoors 26.2 series races will be taped and signed to help with navigation but in some situations signage and tape can go missing on the day of the event (whether it be accidental or deliberate). Therefore, competitors will be provided with a downloadable race route description and downloadable maps of the course which are to be used if tape and signs are not apparent. It is the competitor’s responsibility to navigate themselves throughout the course.

PLEASE NOTE:

Refunds to race entries will not be made once the entry date has closed. Up to 4 weeks before the race date any refunds will be subject to a 20% admin charge. From 4 weeks to 2 weeks prior to the race date refunds of 50% will be made. Entries will not be suspended to the following year.
